| Tree hugger on J.Vine show. | 27 Nov 2005 23:14 GMT | 55 |
Some stupid tree hugging bint is on the Jeremy Vine show boasting about putting 100,000 bogus parking tickets entitled "Poor Vehicle Choice" on 4X4 vehicles just because they don't like them. What a complete waste of paper, talk about Kettle, Pot & Black!

| Idea of what to ask for rangie | 26 Nov 2005 21:07 GMT | 5 |
I have a 1997 RR autobiography, with all the toys, but the vehicle is now a cat C write off due to wiring fire under bonnet, there is no other damage, it still looks brill until you pick up the bonnet, part of the claim was for me to keep the vehicle but my wife has told me it ...

| Which 4X4? | 19 Nov 2005 18:47 GMT | 22 |
I suppose this has been asked many times. I'm down to choosing either a Toyota Hilux Surf 3.0 TD, Vauxhall Monterey or there is local to me an S reg Grand Cherokee Jeep for £4999. Other possibility is a Lotus Big Horn

| S reg Grand Cherokee 2.5TD | 18 Nov 2005 21:54 GMT | 5 |
There is a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo Jeep nearby for sale at £4999, it's 100k but has full service history and is immaculate. Is 100k miles a problem on one of these of should I look elsewhere for something else?

| Landcruiser steel rim source? | 14 Nov 2005 18:51 GMT | 2 |
Having now bent my 3rd alloy on my Landcruiser 90 I've had enough and want some steel replacements. I'll probably still bend them but at least I can bash them straight again. Only problem, I can't find anyone that can supply them. Any leads gratefully received. I know they are 6

Gentle uk.rec.cars.4x4 reader, First, my apology for cross-posting to this NG. Be assured that this is a one-off. It will never happen again. My sole purpose is to draw your attention to what I believe are dubious

| Leg room in a double cab | 12 Nov 2005 20:23 GMT | 1 |
I'm looking at swapping my '98 Grand Cherokee for a twin cab, but the only one I've been in the back of (L200) has almost no leg room for passengers. As we will be doing some serious miles in it with two kids in the back, I was wondering which of the various trucks has the most ...

| Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin | 11 Nov 2005 00:09 GMT | 2 |
Anyone got one of these? I'm interested in opinions / thoughts. My neighbour is looking at something to replace her Rav-4 and is concerned about the Mitsis on-road abilities, particularly motorway cruising. It looks a better bet in the rough than a new Rav.

| "BIG" 4x4 tow car....anyone ? | 07 Nov 2005 12:13 GMT | 13 |
Looking to swop our sorento for a bigger 4x4... our criteria are 7 seats (rear row folding flat into floor, preferably not side-stored), and the wider the better so we can get 3 kids seats in the second row.

| Suzuki XL7 - Off Road? | 02 Nov 2005 18:37 GMT | 6 |
Considering an XL7 for the 7 seats and easy access to the back, but what's it like off road? I've read that the std Grand Vitara is pretty good (Land Rover Recovery Vehicle, someone said!) but with the xtra length would the xl7 be OK?
