Ok I've decided to sell my headunit as I'm going back to uni! Anyway, its fully boxed, all manuals, cage, iso adaptor, remote, mask key, face plate cover, removal tools basically how it was when it came out of the factory!

With all of the new features/programs with the surround sound/audio systems these days, do you feel like an equalizer is necessary anymore for DVD/Stereo/CD systems? Or are they just another 'toy' that is pretty much obsolete these days?

I've bought a Sony M8800 and had a bit of a 'botch' with the installation of the head unit.... Having pulled out the factory head unit, I plugged in the ISO harness (included with the Sony) and then connected the harness to the Sony (= easy)

Does alpine mp3 car radio's have a gap in between tracks?? I usually have cd's like ministry of sound and clubland as mp3's to save space, but with mp3, there are always gaps in between tracks and i dont like that.

Is there a simple and cheap way to connect an iPod to a factory-fitted Ford head unit (it's a 6000 - type, in a new model Mondeo)? I know that there are proprietary cables on the market, but is there a simple bodge connection(s) that will persuade the head to accept the audio output ...

A general question from a newbie about subs with integrated amps (eg the Sony AW200X or Pioneer TSWX205A). Can I feed the sound from the other speakers through the integrated amp, or does it only feed the sub that its part of?
