A quick question regarding fitting a new stereo in a Rover 75 (X reg)
The 75 has a standard radio/cassette player at the moment without a cd
changer and I'd like to fit a Sony head unit with a 10 CD changer in the
boot. However the current stereo is completely fitted into the dash ...

Harddisk  MP3 Headunit23 Jun 2005 10:57 GMT2
In looking for a new head unit I am also considering a harddrive based job.
Whilst searching for posts on this they all seem to be pretty old! Did the
hard disk units never take off? Whats available at the moment... apart from
buying an IPod or similar and attaching that?
Multi-CD MP3 and Pioneer DEH-P77MP21 Jun 2005 16:43 GMT1
I've had the P77MP in my car for a while now and am very pleased with the
performance.
What I'd now like to do is to be able to have a multi-CD changer but still
use MP3 CDRs.  Is this possible with this headunit?

Jacks on them to plug in devices like these.
Where to sell car audio ?11 Jun 2005 21:31 GMT2
I've got some car audio kit to sell and was wondering if there's any decent
forums for selling it that's UK based or has some UK posters?
Don't fancy using ebay - I'd rather sell to people who know how to fit car
audio kit so I don't get loads of grief after they've wired it wrong ...
Alpine CDA-9833 settings11 Jun 2005 02:10 GMT2
I've just bought the above unit and is currently connected to the standard
Vauxhall speakers. It's connected directly to the battery with 17Amp cable.
What I'd like to do is get some bass!!  My old unit had Bass 2, Bass 4, Bass
6 etc. and you could hear the bass going up.
Wish me luck, planning the CarPC build this week if the weather holds.08 Jun 2005 13:44 GMT2
Need to get a power distribution block, some cabling and a couple of
inline fuses, then build a case and screen surround to replace the
factory headunit.
Going to get everything ready before I start, then do each bit as it
