My 2000 Passat with Climatronic (1.9tdi PD 115) has developed a new problem
with the heater.
When I start it up I hear a slow clicking noise from behind the glovebox for
about 10 seconds. It also occurs when the car slows to below about 5mph. Its

Can brake pipes be painted to stop the rusting. Can't find any previous
posts about this. Is it considered more cost effective to change them
rather than protect them ?

I Have a question what does it mean when a car is advertised as having 16v?
And would this mean more on the insurance?
A lot of the cars I'm looking at show 16v etc so I thought i'd ask.

As several of you will be aware, I've been working on the rear brakes on
my Peugeot 205 (1992 1.4GR) the last few days, specifically, renewing two
corroded brake pipes and replacing the handbrake cables.

Having problems starting a J plate Vauxhall Carton 2.0i Auto Diplomat.
I understand (from the AA, and I suspect to) that its the fuel pump
relay.  Fuel pump is fine as recently had new tank and pump fitted
several months ago so all new.  Fuel in and sparks and turns over, just

My rear wiper wouldn't work so I replaced the fuse, It worked for a day and
then blew again, The cooling fan is on the same fuse, I want to know what
might be wrong before I go to the garage and get ripped off?

often talk shite? I sometimes wonder when I read some of the articles
in these magazines. Utter nonsense some of the things I read.
