I have just bought a brand new 2005 published Haynes manual (Fiesta).  The
last one I bought was about 25 years ago.  I see that they still use the
same crappy paper with the same poor quality photographs.  Does anyone else
think the same or is it me??  Is there a better alternative ...

Sorry.  Me and 416 again.
Head gasket was replaced last week ..car seemed to run fine for 6

This morning I came out of the house to find all the windows open on my 2002

Have a Mk1 Mondeo (EEC IV) with PATS and IR central locking.
Quick question, does this model have a starter inhibitor as part of the
PATS?
Also, does it have a starter relay? (I only have the wiring diagram for

My friend was having trouble turning the key in his ignition barrel about a
year ago so I fitted him a new barrel which cured the problem.
Then about 2 months ago it started playing up so I fitted him another one. I
asked the ford parts guy to check the key for wear as I couldnt ...

1. Engine overheating. (Despite Oil and coolant levels being OK).
2. No heat through internal fan (Despite heat level set at full bung).

and I need to get a new black one cut - will the average key shop have a
black transponder key in stock and what's the approximate cost?

In frosty mornings I often see neighbours clearing windscreen using kettle
of hot water .Dont know how hot the water is but could any damage be done to
car using this method e.g. could rubber seals be damaged.

Had to call a break down service to fetch the 416 Auto (honda engine) home.
Battery is ok and fuel in tank.

I have a slow intermittent cooling leak on a Cav 1.7TD (isuzu).
Sometimes there's a slow drip of coolant from the bottom of the
engine near the crankshaft pully. I suspect its probably the water
pump but can't actually see any leakage from the pump (although
