f.cking twatting DIYers.14 Jan 2006 16:38 GMT29
Just wasted two days of my life cutting out 20 years worth of sh.t
wiring in the Capri just so I can install a stereo. Lad I bought the
car off left the stereo in. He only used to play CDs on it. That
should've rung alarm bells. Might've had something to do with the
how long should brake pads last?14 Jan 2006 16:26 GMT44
I've had my car from new and it's done 31k miles and still has original pads
and discs. Do you think they'll be nearing the end of their life now? The
still seem to work fine. I do a variety of driving, mostly town but a bit of
motorway as well.
One for Andy Hewitt14 Jan 2006 15:43 GMT29

like you know what or drains.
It is not me (or the wife) nor have I found a dead animal in the engine

Rover 200 coolant loss14 Jan 2006 07:17 GMT15
Wonder if you can help - I bought a 1.6 '99 Rover 200 on a T plate last
month and the coolant level drops quite rapidly (full to empty in one
week). I plan to take this back to the dealer under warranty but want
to have an idea of what the common causes could be. I haven't checked

Can you hear different cars?13 Jan 2006 14:16 GMT29
These days car engines are very similar with respect to noise; water
cooled, CAT and high noise reduction. All you get is brrrrrrrr. So it
has become more difficult to distinguish characteristic noises of cars.
I think that Renaults sounds different, or is it just in my mind?
