a friend of mine has a 93 Ford Escort Estate and every now and again the back brakes bind on and eventually free off again whilst driving. He has replaced all the back brake shoes and free'd off the self adjusters does anyone have any idea what could be causing this, he says it ...

Bought a 3 pole fan switch for my Golf the other day. Get around to fitting it, and it's a f.cking 80 degree one. Mr Volkswagen specified a 92 degree fan switch for a f.cking REASON.

Any one any experience , good or bad , of the sealed lead acid jump start packs around? Typically yellow box with couple of short jump leads, sometimes with tyre inflator compressor built in.

I have a Rover Metro 96, that has a broken rear window heater and fog lights. The rear mirror light comes on when it switches on, but no heat, and the fog lights just don't work.

A while ago i posted to this group about a my Ford Escort ('96, 1.6, ~100k miles) which seemed to be experiencing a severe misfire/juddering which would begin about 10 min after startup and last about 10-15min. If you could drive through this then the problem cleared and everything

Having had a look at my 16V Golf, I can see that a) the scallies who broke into it forced the passenger side lock and b) this can be done with a bog standard flat screwdriver, by me, not normally known for my car stealing abilites

Hi, I have '53 reg Clio but I have noticed that the high level stop lamp is very dim. It can be seen at night but hard to see in the day. It is one of the LED types. Before I take it back to the garage does anyone know what might cause this and whether it is a common problem?

Local Morrisons are selling this for about £3 per 4 litres, is it any good? The engine is a 1.6 skoda/VW/whatever petrol (1998 year). I was going to buy this rather than the much more expensive castrol/big brand, but it would only ever be used for topping up between services.
