Well I have now fired two seat mounted air bags under more or less controlled conditions. Not sure what Duncanwood was mumbling about but all it takes is a low current 12 volt source connected to to the appropriate wire and BANG, off it goes. Smells remarkably like a very

Need to replace all my 4 tyres - 195/50 R15 - any ideas please bearing in mind that most motoring is chugging around locally (unfortunately) with a few motorway runs each year? It seems that there are shedloads of cheap tyres that appear to be general purpose so not sure what to ...

| E reg Golf cooling problems | 05 Jan 2006 14:14 GMT | 5 |

| Glow Plugs - changing and finding out which one's dead | 04 Jan 2006 23:50 GMT | 5 |
My bird's 106 diseasel's playing up. Seems like one or two glow plugs are dead by the way it's starting. 1) Can I test them with a multimeter? They don't seem to be noticably warmer than each other when you touch the tops of them (assuming the things that

| Knackered Bleed nipple - MK2 Golf | 04 Jan 2006 22:14 GMT | 19 |
I had a nice afternoon pissing about in my mate's tiny garage trying to bleed the brakes on my Golf GTi. The driver's side front bleed nipple is as rusty as a rusty thing, and someone's already had a go at rounding it off at some point in the past, meaning I can't get a spanner ...

I have a nail in a nearly new front tyre on the wife's Tigra. Now, I've always replaced tyres like this, especially on the front, but am I being over cautious? Are there any modern repair techniques readily available in the High Street chains I should go for. ( Due to

| Wheel cylinder overhaul | 04 Jan 2006 18:33 GMT | 23 |
Having now fitted new wheel cylinders (see recent Corroded brake pipes thread), do I chuck the old ones out, or is it worth buying a repair kit to overhaul them and keep them as spares. Or should I find something better to do with my time

| Fiesta Front Fog Lamps | 04 Jan 2006 11:18 GMT | 7 |
I have an 03 plate Fiesta - I have bought a pair of front fog lamps and a switch - how easy are they to fit? Can I just knock the blanking plates out in the bumper grill thing? Is the wiring-loom likely to be already set up to receive the wiring - like,
