I've got a 90 Spec 8V GTi (PB engine code) and it's getting hot in traffic. It's not the stat, and it's not the rad, as both have been changed. The coolant isn't sludge. What could be causing the car to overheat? Timing too advanced or fuel mixture? The other option I can see ...

My 2001my clio 1.6 has started chugging quite a lot and the exhaust gas light has come on. Had one coil replaced about 2 years ago when the same problem happened. Can someone advise me how to test which one is faulty this time?

Hi Chaps, We recently bought a Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 Easytronic. Unfortunately the test drive was a very short one and we could not test all the capabilities. We just trusted the car dealers words and bought the car.

i have just joined this group and i am pleased with the emails that i have read. I own a 1984 318i, as my car is not fitted with an overflow bottle (dont know if it was built with one) so i went to the wreckers and purchased an overflow bottle with a sensor. My question to anybody

My transit 1994 plain 2.5 diesel has started overheating. Normally the temperature hovers over the O of NORM but now the temperature hovers around the M or bottom of the white line if running or drops to the R at idle.

That's about as close as I can get to the noise my front-right wheel is making. Once I hit about 65 it actually smoothes off a bit and gets quieter. It's clearly one thump per wheel revolution and happens out of gear too. Also pretty much dissapears when turning left firmly.

Does the camshaft on the cylinder head of a citroen AX rotate once for every two revolutions of the crankshaft? There is a mark on the camshaft sprocket to indicate TDC so if I am swapping
