Help Please (URGENT!)  Ka main (dipped)  lights not working30 Jan 2006 08:42 GMT23
but full beam and side lights do. Have checked dipped beam fuses and are OK,
besides which its unlikely they would both have failed at once. Is there
another single fuse that could cause this, or failing that what other single
failure would cause dipped lights only to fail?
Cost of an oil change29 Jan 2006 22:37 GMT9
Any record costs of a typical oil change worth of engine oil - we do get
conned into using the main dealers in order to retain warranty conditions.
My mate reckons around £60 for his BMW.
inside of Saxo windscreen freezing up29 Jan 2006 22:10 GMT16
I'm having problems with the inside of my windscreen freezing up.
Depending on the weather it sometimes is either very very wet with
condensation which is hard to dry clear without smearing, or if it is
icy cold outside, the inside of the windscreen is as badly frozen on

Hi group,
I am not car literate in any way, but I am wondering if any of you could

capscrews with A4-80 stainless steel..
The reason for the A4-80 stainless that it has the same tensile strength
Books / Courses on Bodywork29 Jan 2006 19:44 GMT20
Anyone recommend any? I'll shortly have my mits on a half decent compressor,
and I've got a spare Golf shell in the shed, complete with dents for
practicing on. Courses would need to be of the evening type and near to
Sheffield. Books preferably made of some sort of paper.

Cold weather and car remotes.28 Jan 2006 15:54 GMT9
A colleague of mine has just bought a year-old Toyota Verso.
In-between telling everyone how wonderful it is, he mentioned that, on
the last couple of mornings, the remote hasn't worked. At all other
times, it's been fine. The only common factor we can think of is that
Vauxhall Astra 1999 Digital Odometer Display Not Working Failure28 Jan 2006 00:18 GMT3
I just noticed that the digital trip odometer (total+trip mileage
display) on my Vauxhall Astra 1997 is not displaying. Everything else
works, speedometer, rev counter, etc. Has anyone seen this before? I
guess it's not a blown fuse, because everything else works. It's a

Immobiliser Key: - How does it work?27 Jan 2006 18:57 GMT1
On a Renault Kangoo, I have intermittent starting problems, I found after
reading the manual, that it won't start when the immoboliser panel
indication light flashes after switching on the ignition key, using the
"plip" key.

1994 Ford Fiesta 1.1 LX26 Jan 2006 20:16 GMT15
I'm thinking of buying a 1994 Ford Fiesta 1.1 LX for around £250. It
has no rust and has done 75,000 miles.
Is this car a good buy and what should I look out for?
How many miles to the gallon should it do?
