Well am awaiting the haynes manual for my car and have been asking a lot of
what I guess simple questions about car maintenance.
Eventually lol I want to be at the standard to service my own car and was
wondeirng what kid of toolkit I am going to need :-s ?

My local dealer wants £100 + to replace the remote key for my Toledo which
has packed up.  This seems a bit excessive in my opinion.  Is there anywhere
I can get it done cheaper or is there any possibility of repairing the key?

HI I am wondering if anyone can help me please.  I have a fiat punto gt
turbo on an s reg that as late has been blowing the fuse for the fuel
pump.  When it first blew after I got a tow home.   I looked at it the
next day and found the fuse to have gone. So then I replaced it and

I have a crack in my Rover 214 windscreen and mot is due, Bugger.
It is a fail item about 6-8 inches long in the wiper sweep area on the
passenger side.
I can get a cheap replacement windscreen from a local scrap yard and

I've just registered.  Got that from another newsgroup.  I reckon it's worth
a try.  You can bend and break a stick but you can't bend and break a bundle
of sticks held together.

The driver's mirror that glues to the interior side of the windscreen has
broken, what's the best way to remove it to put on a new one.. I glued it a
few months ago.

I notice my screen wash is running a little low and wanted to know can I top
it up with regular water and washing up liquid or do I need to buy one of
the screen wash solutions ?

Just wondering after reading about fishman and lordy recently having
their gearboxes fail, what milage have peoples gone at? I'm sure I read
somewhere that it's around 80,000 miles it goes, I've done 78,000, but
asked the garage to check the box when they had it out at a clutch

On my L reg Primera 1.6 hatch, as of yesterday morning, the heater fan
no longer works on positions 1,2,3. Position 4 (max) is fine, but too
noisy to stand for long.

What is this new 6 months implied warranty that is now supposed to
exist on 2nd cars bought from a trader? Lot of them only seem to say
they give a 30 days warranty.

Having problems with the thing and not sure what to try next. Have replaced
the distributor cap and plugs which seemed to help a lot , but then about a
month latter I had problems again, I've taken the things off and they look
fine, cleaned them up anyway.

Just had the head gasket changed on my 99 Rover 200 (1.6) and now there
appears to be no coolant loss - hurray!
Now, I noticed that since I have had the car (6 weeks) and with a hot
engine/exhaust, that when pulling away from idle there would be a brief
