Fiesta 1.25 Ghia Accessory Belt Removal07 Feb 2006 11:06 GMT4
Following on from my "Fiesta 1.25 Ghia Power Steering" thread...
I replaced the power steering pipes on my sister's car in the end and
this fixed the leak. Unfortunately no doubt as she drove it dry for
about 200 miles, the pump makes an absolutely awful racket and I think

Just a quick question:-

Do I need any special tools ?
Pre-Registered "New" Cars06 Feb 2006 23:25 GMT11
What do dealerships mean when the say a "new" car is pre-registered?
I can guess what it means but I might be wrong, but more than that what are
the implications (if any) of buying a car that it pre-reg, or selling it on
at a later date?
ABS Problem06 Feb 2006 17:47 GMT11
I have a Fiat Coupe with ABS. I broke a phonic on the rear wheel which
caused the ABS light to malfunction. This has been replaced but the ABS
light still fails to go out. I assumed that along with the phonic I must
have damaged the sensor as well. Today I disconnected the sensor ...

'Brake fluid low' sensor - how to remove?05 Feb 2006 23:57 GMT2
Having discovered, when a wheel-cylinder sprang a leak, that this
sensor/switch now fails to indicate near-total loss of fluid, I find
that it's far from obvious how to remove it from the top of the
'Bendix'-marked header-tank on my '98/'99 Peugeot 306.
space-saver spares05 Feb 2006 22:39 GMT13
Anyone know where I can get a space-saver spare wheel for an A2 (1.4
TDI)?  Audi are asking £200 quid which seems a bit ridiculous.  Done a
bit of googling but come up empty so far.  I'm near Glasgow.

99 Accord clutch05 Feb 2006 22:23 GMT6
How big a job is changing a clutch in one of these, a 1999 2.0LS saloon
vtec?
I'm a keen diy-er with access to a pit but not a lift. Previous
experience is various RWD toyotas (easy), Mk 3 Golf (moderate), 95
car battery knackered05 Feb 2006 21:36 GMT2
My car batter has been low for a good few weeks, and in the last week when I
turn the key it doesn't make any noise at all, and when it's push started
and driven fore 30 minutes, it doesn't seem to charge up.
I've connected it up to a charger today to see if that will get it going ...
Nissan Primera05 Feb 2006 19:24 GMT1
Years ago I had a Rover 800. There was a facility to overide the key fob
thingy by putting the key in the door and turning "2 to the right, 4 to the
left etc"
Does anyone know if the same thing can be done on a Primera and if so where
L Reg Nissan metallic noise05 Feb 2006 13:51 GMT4
I am occasionally hearing a metallic noise when driving, it has only
happened a few times and only started in the last couple of days. It
isn't doing it at a specific time (not when braking or changing gear).
Does anyone have any clues what it could be? It is a 1.3 petrol (16v)

Has anyone installed the TomTom ONE in a Ford Mondeo Mk2, to the right of
the central vent http://helloscoobydoo0.tripod.com/TomTomONE_in_Mondeo.JPG ?
The supplied clip fits in there nicely and just requires the TT ONE to slide
in/out with ease but I just need someway of attaching ...
Diesel injector cleaner05 Feb 2006 10:12 GMT8
Is it worth using this stuff on a Pug 205D with 80,000 on the clock, and if
so, which is the stuff to use?

New Clutch?05 Feb 2006 10:02 GMT2
We have a Ford Ka, the clutch has started to slip under acceleration, I
presume it will need a new friction disk fitted, also will have a new
pressure plate and release bearing fitted at the same time, as reading the
Haynes manual it looks best to have them all done together.
