Cavalier n/s front wheel noise.18 Feb 2006 10:13 GMT17
Driving along in a 30 limit, straight road. Suddenly there was a
light but noticeable clonking, apparently from the n/s front, at

the road. I replaced the CV boot on this wheel, and re-packed
Volvo T5 overheating-faulty thermostat18 Feb 2006 01:07 GMT15
Many thanks for your suggestions.
The thermostat was failing to open---Im not impressed with Volvo quality-a
£3000 engine jeopordised by a £5 component.I suspect this is a pretty common
fault on Volvos.

Naive Q: intermittent "wheel noise"17 Feb 2006 09:58 GMT2
Astra 1.6 8v, 1998 'R' reg
My son has it now -- I sold it to him.  It's developed a noise which
sounds to be coming from the front wheels, he says.  It's kind of a
"rotational rubbing" noise: I can't give much more detail 'cos my son is
Rover windscreen come unstuck!16 Feb 2006 23:10 GMT8
The windscreen in my wife's Rover 218SLD seems to be coming unstuck.
We've had the car for 3 years now and never noticed it before; I drove
it today and noticed that every time I went over a bump there was a
'squeak' from the trim around the screen.  Sure enough, there's 4-5mm of ...

a few months after buying my car, Nissan Primera (R reg), I found a

At a service today the garage asked where the key was for the locking

but that was fine so said the mechanic who checked it ...
Frontera16 Feb 2006 15:15 GMT20
Was thinking of buying an older (1995) Frontera diesel.
