In my car (2004 Fiesta) the cig/power socket currently works all the time,
ignition on or off makes no difference.
For various reasons I would prefer this to only have power when the ignition
is on.

a trailer with the car, but I don't want to run the risk of shagging
the transmission and ending up with an enormous repair bill.
