Mondeo Cam belt06 Mar 2006 01:12 GMT26
I have a 2.0 Zetec - e Mondeo. The smiley face body.
The owners guide says the cam belt should be replaced every 10 years or
100,000 miles. I have been to my local Ford dealer to get this confirmed and
to make sure Ford had not changed the time or milage for this engine type.

Mondeo G/box leak from selector shaft.05 Mar 2006 16:34 GMT2
My Dads Mondeo 1.8 has got an oil leak coming from where the gearshift
shaft enters the gearbox.
I am presuming it is just a oil seal behind there that needs replacing?
Before I say I'll do it, I'd like to check if it is a quick simple job -
Water as coolant.05 Mar 2006 16:28 GMT13
While removing rust, I have accidentally drained some of the coolant out

Unsure if it's all or not.

Anyone EVER seen a public "car" wash for a van?05 Mar 2006 14:59 GMT18
I wish I could find a garage "car" wash for my hightop van. Surely there
must be a market for a wash that can take large vans. Its nearly impossible
for me to clean the roof of my van as its 8.5ft high (VW LT35). If anyone
has ever seen a public "Car" wash that takes large vehicles ...

Can anyone say if the boot seats from my 740 estate will fit a V70?
I saw , very briefly, the inside of a v70 estate and there appeared to be
half a seat already fitted. Is it a case of this is always fitted as
standard and needs further bits bought to complete or can i remove this ...
Bravo 1.8 - changing disks and pads - anything to look out for?05 Mar 2006 12:15 GMT15
Decided to do the disks and pads on my Bravo tomorrow, changed them on the
mrs car before and it was a sod of a job, disks rusted on. Anyway, is there
anything weird to look out for with the Bravo 1.8, or is it all fairly
normal?

I have recently bought a renault 5 tl le car. when i bought it the

Engine running too fast - Rover 114 auto04 Mar 2006 20:23 GMT7
Can anyone help with adjusting the idling speed of my Rover 114
automatic? I was given it by my grandmother, and it doesn't have any
manuals or anything. Although it's 10 years old, it hasn't done much
mileage. It drives well, but the engine runs too fast, and I can't see
Old cats are worth serious money04 Mar 2006 18:07 GMT7
I just got a nice surprise when taking in some scrap:
A used but complete cat made 20 pounds in scrap value !, if it is broken up
apparently they still pay 10 pounds as long as about half is still there.
So well worth hanging onto and cutting off any scrappers you see lying
