help!!!
i have a 2 leter v reg xsi and i am having problems,
it seems to be building up alot of pressure in the petrol tank and when i
take the cap off it hisses at me, i have had my fuel feeder pipes and vent

Hi Guys;
I was about to change the pads on my old-shape corsa yesterday, but I
noticed the discs had developed a lip and had got a bit thin. ( thanks Mr C
for the thickness guide).

I've ordered the thermostat for my Primera, I asked if I needed a
gasket, was told I needed to use Silicone sealant. Hrm. Not liking the
sound of that. I've never done that before. Bit worried now.
I've got some sealant... Had a choice between Clear or Black... went for

How does the old augment of keeping the road tax stand up, now that
authorities can check MOT and I believe insurance by a computer check? They
used to say displaying road tax helps keep uninsured and MOT failures off
the road, but now they can tell this by checking on a computer, ...

I'm need to change the brake pads on my Astra.
I did it once before on a different Astra and buggered the  seals on the
Master Cylinder and was told there was a certain way to change them on this
model of car but forgotton what it was.

I'm considering buying a Moandeo ST220 Estate. The earlier model has a
5-speed manual cogbox, whilst the 2003 'facelift' model has a 6-speed
manual.
I know the 5-speed cogboxes are pretty good, but what about the 6-speed? Did

My Fiesta starts then billows smoke from exhaust and vibrates through
steering wheel. Have had problems with is using oil and some oil
accidently ended up in a spark plug - changed that and it worked a little
better but it struggles on hills now which it didnt before.

have a couple of questions.
1) How do I remove a NS headlamp from a rover 600 (1998) Has a stone chip
that has gone right through and a crack so needs replacing.
2) The O/S unit keep sblowing all three bulbs . They last a week or so then

I was wondering if anyone knows about Micras and can tell me how you
would go about removing the front off-side wing panel to replace it
with another one?  I've got an L reg 1994 1.0L 3dr micra that someone
kindly smashed into breaking the repeater lamp and leaving a huge dent.

Hi all, my Transit van needs the middle part of the exhaust replacing.
Should I just take it to Quik Fit etc.., a local garage or is it worth
doing this yourself - if the later where's a good place to get the
bits from?

Mk 1800 Mondeo Petrol, started and ran for about 1/2 second then died,
girlfriend then cranked it over immediately - sounds like it has no
complression, suspected broken timing belt but removing the top cover
shows it's still intact but seems unusually loose . . . I've cranked it ...

I'm sure someone here can help me, I was looking at a BMW 530d 2000 , I
was wandering, does this car have a turbo or are all turbo models
deignated with 'td' or 'tds' ? Hope this is not a stupid question , but
I wander how it can have a 0-60 of 8.1 s with out a turbo!! it's lovely
