This has been bugging me for a while now. I know the colour code is on the VIN plate but i'm not sure whihc letter or number is the actual code. I've copied the VIN plate details and been into halfords today to see if it's in their little book but I couldn't finf it, I also

Getting a bit concerned... my car, by the looks of the emissions sheet, just about scraped through the MOT (the Nissan Primera, 2.0 Auto SGX 1994). Fast Idle Lambda, 0.997 (0.97 - 1.03), HC 42ppm (lt 200 ppm), CO: 0.08% vol (<0.20%)

What's the best way to clean a throttle body that is removed from the car? If I remove the TPS & ISCV sensors is it ok to soak the body overnight in paraffin to loosen the crud?

I have a ford escort which 6 months ago I had a garage change the wishbone bushes on the car, since then my tyres have rapidly become unevenly worn, in a space of only 1500 miles, the tyres were of good tread before the wishbone bushes were replaced.

All is revealed, I think. The car was manufactured in 97 . And was registered abroad.It was registered in the uk in 99 and was given a R plate in keeping with its age. Does that make sense?

After changing the radiator, the transmission fluid was leaking somewhere by the pipe by the radiator. Two choices. Either the hose clip, or the brass pipe/nut assembly... typical setup, where you have to tighten the nut to squish the pipe and

Just to let you know - the service manager called and apologised it had taken so long to get the Mitsubishi key I posted about before. Went to collect it on Friday morning. After being told it would be >100 quid - the final bill was £43.

I have a 96 1.4 Astra Manual Transmission Anyone know what Gearbox oil I should use. Both Haynes and Halfords data chart say EP80/90 but the oil in the box at the moment is RED and not as thick as EP80/90, but not a thin as Auto
