Battery has gone in my 1995 renault and despite my best efforts (and others too its not just me being thick...I don't think) I can't work out how to get the old one out: it is held down by a bracket but can't find where to loosen it! Anyone to my rescue??? New one is sitting

I have the choice of 2 TPS sensors to fit to my car. Anyone know which one is probably the better sensor from the Resistance readings? According to the tech data the results should be; Throttle closed 1000 - 3000 ohms

Please note the cross-post because it involves both technical and legal aspects of a bad car repair. Is there a statutory minimum guarantee period for workmanship in the same way as most new goods have to be covered for at least a year?

Thought I'd share a happy (and probably lucky!) story about my recently purchased Rover 420 TD. I bought it last Saturday, with a seized turbo, meaning to fix it at some point (still gave me 46 mpg over the week though!)
