Unglazing a clutch?13 May 2006 12:50 GMT14
Is there a bodge method of unglazing a clutch? My mum's got an old 1043cc
Polo, which is used for taking stuff to the dump. She rides the clutch, and
there's naff all in the way of middle ground between cluch in and out, so
you either wheelspin or stall at traffic lights.
I can't get the Micra gearbox filler out!13 May 2006 11:52 GMT5
On my daughter's K11 1998 998cc Micra, I cannot shift the gearbox,
filler/level plug, so I cannot check the level.
I've never been able to shift it (had the car since 6k, now done 48k),
so I took it to my friendly local garage who have things like proper
Tyre Pressure: Nissan Auto: 38 PSI13 May 2006 10:26 GMT9
Just digging another one up from the dead. I posted this a while ago,
that there was a question mark over what the tyre pressures were on an
automatic 94 Nissan Primera 2.0L. Tyre placard says 38psi, garage says
32psi, and there wasn't much of a concensus on here either.

205 GTi inlet manifold12 May 2006 22:39 GMT2
I have to take the inlet manifold off to replace the starter motor.

I want to semi-permanently install a GPS re-radiating antenna in my C5

cigarette lighter.
Anyone know if there's an ignition switched connection point, or wire I
Fiesta Zetec 1.25 idle problem 12 May 2006 21:00 GMT5
Well I still got the problem. The problem is that the car idle speed rises
when I stop at lights or a road junction. It was rising to about 2000 revs
and then dropping back to normal over about 3 seconds. Someone suggested
that the problem was the idle air control valve. I ...
Fuel Consumption figures12 May 2006 19:34 GMT26
Does anyone know of a website where I can compare fuel consumption figures
for a range of cars? Parkers only gives an average consumption which isn't
much use given that I drive mainly on motorways.
Vauxhall locks12 May 2006 18:10 GMT4
Having got so used to remote central locking, I've only just found that my
key won't fit the drivers or passengers doorlocks on my  '99 Omega that I
bought a few weeks ago.
The remote locking and immobiliser work fine from the key, as does the
abs problem12 May 2006 15:25 GMT1
I have a 98 Renault Megane 1.4 that has developed an abs problem over a
period of about a year. When travelling very slowly and I am about to come
to a stop the brakes momentarily don't work and it's as if there's oil on
the disc. It happens mid braking and when I ease the ...

Brake wear indicator on a Ford Galaxy..12 May 2006 00:05 GMT4
The brake wear lights started coming on about a week ago. The car has been
in the garage and has had it's front pads replaced but the warning light is
still on
Any known causes for this fault on a Galaxy? Presumably a short somewhere?
