Mother in law has a W plate 1.216v Agila. The engine management warning
light is on. Local vauxhall dealer have said ECU needs replacing and
identified fault code P0141. ECU is over £500. Anyone have any other
suggestions before we go ahead?

I'm changing the rear brake drums and bearings on my Saxo (1.5D, late 1999
model [people keep asking is it Mk1 or Mk2 and I've no bloody idea], Bendix
braking system, 4 stud wheels, 180mm diameter drums).
What I've been supplied with by Euro Car Parts to put on, is not identical

The starter is turning the motor over and I'm getting a spark at the
plugs. I can smell petrol in the cylinder when the plug is removed.
Plenty of petrol in the tank. Took the oil filler cap off and I can see
the upper timing chain turning the camshaft but it just doesn't want to
