1994 Mondeo Immobiliser30 May 2006 08:24 GMT2
Anybody know of any common failures of these. It's the Bosch transitter &
symptoms are no spark & no fuel, the engine turns over happily. It did 400
miles yesterday & today just spins & does nothing.

Rounded Screw - again30 May 2006 05:52 GMT9
Attacked the screw with the drill. Eventually got the head off and took the
handle off to find a bent door.
Anyway, I've cut a slot in the top of the screw, and it won't budge. Bar
plus gas and belting it with a hammer, both of which I've tried, what can I
Brake judder30 May 2006 00:06 GMT4
The brakes on my Proton Wira (2002, 1500cc) are juddering, especially when
braking from speed.  Despite the age of the car and low mileage (15,000) my
brother-in-law, who used to be a mechanic, tells me that I probably need new
front discs and pads. Yes?
Paint on the car29 May 2006 22:50 GMT12
Our neighbour likes to tinker with stuff that the average Joe would bin.
His last game was to build one good punto out of three. He gave up on
that since they all managed to rust as quickly as traditional cheap
Italian cars do.
Air conditioning compressor - DIY recondition?29 May 2006 19:18 GMT6
I'm after an second hand air con kit for my car. My car being 16 years old,
it's not practical to find another car in similar condition with air con. I
can obviously get the condensor brazed if it's got a hole, replace pipes
etc. but compressor rebuilds are a bit more complicated ...
Update on the Shafted Mondeo Driveshaft29 May 2006 13:40 GMT2
Hi to all who helped out with my long, rambling post about the shafted
driveshaft incident on my old Mondeo (the Mk.II 2.0 Zetec Ghia X).
I just banged on the new (non-Ford) driveshaft this afternoon, as per the
recommendations of the group. The car now drives beautifully again - ...

Cassette to CD upgrade question..29 May 2006 09:57 GMT4
My 2002 Ford Galaxy has a cassette player and I was thinking of buying a
Ford CD player off ebay to upgrade it.
Most of the players offered for sale come with a code card but I think I
read somewhere that they are also coded with the cars VIN number?

Evening All,
Well, having now had my new Mondeo Ghia X TDCi for a few days, I'm
getting used to the wickedly grunty 2.2 155 brake TDCi engine... lots
of fun! But there is one thing that's plagued me since I got the car,
