Ford Puma Remote Ignition Key Queries21 May 2006 13:23 GMT3
After nearly 8 years I think the batteries may have finally gone in my
ignition key so I'm locking using the key in the lock. The car still
starts OK  - should it do this with the key batteries exhausted or will
it suddenly not start?
CitroenBX GTI interior lights21 May 2006 11:44 GMT19
Lamps will operate on door pillar switches, but will not perform through
any door switch, (operated by opening the door).
Found a white timer or relay in the steering column, but replacing this
with a similar (2nd hand) had no effect.  How do I check this item to

My old banger has a small problem21 May 2006 08:22 GMT9
Sorry, mechanical noob here driving a 93 citreon AX 1.1i.  Basicly my

flat to the floor to get the brakes to work.
I am totally new to mechanics so basicly I would like a few suggestions on
Tread wear indicators: what do they look like?21 May 2006 00:04 GMT11
Any pics on the web showing tyre tread wear indicators for worn tyres?
Looking at my tyres, I presume the tyre tread markings are at 90
degrees to the main grooves. But I'd like to find some example pics to
compare.
Any gadgets to 'lock' bendy door tops shut?20 May 2006 23:53 GMT33
A local (nice) lad has had the 'door bent open' treatment to his Corsa
for the third time now and is getting a bit fed up with it.
We think the alam stopped them taking anything and may stop them
touching it again but we were wondering (whilst bending the door back
Rover BRM20 May 2006 20:43 GMT15
How come Rover BRM's don't sell on eBay (and probably elsewhere)? I'd have
thought with less than 800 built they would be snapped up. I was surprised
at the number for sale on eBay!
Surely a future classic if there ever was one.
Stereo Wiring?20 May 2006 18:59 GMT10
Hi, have googled my socks off but can't find anything helpful on the
subject - anyone know which wire is which (or where I can find the info
online) for wiring a stereo into a Rover 100 ('95, Kensington SE if it
matters). My stereo is labelled so no probs at that end, but I have

Halfords: how crap is that?20 May 2006 14:19 GMT89
Would you believe that (according to the numpty behind the parts counter of
my local branch) Halfords can no longer sell you a brake bleed screw? Is
that not just a tad rubbish?

Car Emissions Database20 May 2006 00:09 GMT16
My mum has an '02 reg Corsa 1.4 auto and has just received her road tax
renewal and it's a whopping £190! Now I know I could check her logbook to
find out what band it's placed in but I can't get round there till next
weekend at the earliest. Having looked on the DVLA website it ...
TDI 130 Alternator problems19 May 2006 17:14 GMT16
I have a Seat Ibiza TDI 130 Sport from '03 which has started to behave a bit
strangely.
It has a dashboard mounted voltmeter standard from the factory, and from the
day it was new it always reported 14v with the engine running, no problems
Renault Megane Ph1 Sunroof Drainage19 May 2006 09:49 GMT3
Hi, anyone out there know where the drain tubes from the sunroof come
out?  I have a hatchback sport and the front left drain tube is
blocked.  Seems to have happened to several people (water in the
passenger well, coming through sill under from passenger door), but

disconnect the drive to the speedo/odo, if you have some other suitably
accurate means of measuring your speed in your vehicle?
(Clearly if you were doing this with an attempt to defraud, by having the
