Righto. My Mum's bought a Polo Harlequin (multi coloured horrorbox if you're
not acquainted with the idea). But it's not a Polo Harlequin. It looks very

like to put in a better loom and fit high wattage lamps. However, this needs
a relay. And if you use a relay, it gets tripped by the dim dip system.
Is there a trick to stop a relay seeing the dim dip so that ...

Older car servicing help18 May 2006 15:50 GMT7
First, I've never owned a private car so I know naff all about servicing.
But my daughter bought her first car last October from a Nissan

Jubilee clips18 May 2006 11:10 GMT4
Whilst removing the intake manifold on a 205 GTi, I noticed the
abundance of types of hose clip.  Given previous owners tendencies to
bodge these cars, I am curious to know what the correct fittings are.
I have noticed 7mm nut types, and a type with no nut that I have no idea

I had a tyre replaced today. I had to go to ATS. This wasn't a choice
thing, it was a "let's not break the wheel while driving on a flat and
there's a tyre place ove there" thing.
I know I could have put the spare on and gone to somewhere more

gear or not. The best way I can describe the noise is like a washing
Slightly OT?  Speedo accuracy vs GPS17 May 2006 19:35 GMT32
I've often wondered about the accuracy of speedos in cars.  People throw
around a +-10% figure all the time although I've no idea whether really
that figure is correct.
Anyway, I've got a 1998 S reg Pug 306, this appears to have a speedo
