Mk6 Fiesta steering wheel08 Jul 2006 03:13 GMT11
I have a Fiesta TDCI LX and have bought a secondhand leather steering wheel
off a Zetec to replace the original on which the coating is peeling off.
I've removed plenty of steering wheels in the past but never one like this
with an airbag, and I can't see any obvious way to ...

The other day  I began to loose power suddenly at about 75- 80 mph on
the motor way. Lots of steam from exhaust and what felt like a mis

Pub Meet07 Jul 2006 19:54 GMT5
OK so I've only been to a couple but hasn't it been a while since the
last one?  It being summer etc it would be a good time to set a date,
all promise to be there in a beer garden somewhere - and then at the
last minute find a cracking selection of reasons for not being able to
my new focus tdci07 Jul 2006 18:56 GMT5
I got my new (to me) Ford Focus today. It's quite a remarkable drive
for me, having come from a non turbo diesel 306. I'm quite pleased with
it in fact. Perhaps due in part to my over zealous driving I found the
engine stalled   when I did a rather rapid stop in 5th gear (to avoid a

Baby in car07 Jul 2006 12:10 GMT23
It has been suggested to my daughter in her anti natal classes that she
might like to immobilise the passenger side airbag on her Astra so that the
baby due in a few weeks can be carried in the front safely. Her hubby wants
to have a go at doing this but I have advised caution.
[off topic] Dates of previous warm weather in UK?07 Jul 2006 11:38 GMT5
Does anyone recall what the dates were for the previous warm and sunny
spell weather we had earlier this year?
Is there a website where I can see this sort of thing by viewing a chart
showing UK weather temperatures over a period like a month.
Halfords: Bosch HT leads07 Jul 2006 00:03 GMT2
Are the Bosch HT leads from Halfords any good? For my car, Nissan
Micra, the price difference from bog standard Halford leads is not too
much.
Thanks
Jump starting car query06 Jul 2006 22:54 GMT9
This might seem like a stupid question, but can anyone tell me the
reason why the instructions for using jump leads, all specifically say
you should connect the black lead to a good earthing point on the car
that needs to be jump started, rather than directly to its negative
brake problem06 Jul 2006 22:08 GMT9
The other day I was driving and on braking the pedal went to the floor
with almost no resistance. I stopped for a while and the problem seemed
to rectify itself. I had the car checked in a garage but they could
find no fault with the brake system.

I've got a few dents in a couple of my doors (supermarket trolley etc),
and also a dent in the rear pillar. Been looking into various companies
that perform the paintless removal, and I'm looking for some info about
various costs that people have been changed.
