carry the bumpstops, but Kwik-Fit will do both shocks for 120 pounds and

Brake pedal excessive travel05 Aug 2006 15:31 GMT12
Car: 1991 Polo G40 (Supercharged 1.3)
Just bought this car recently, plan to have a look at the brakes over the
weekend as there is a lot of travel on the brake pedal before anything
happens. Brakes seem reasonable (but not great) at that point. They *are*
Weak radiator cap?05 Aug 2006 15:06 GMT8
Hi all. I've got a problem with a 1988 Nissan Bluebird 1.6LX chucking
out some of its coolant even though it hasn't overheated. It only does
it occasionally (usually on a hot day). With the coolant filled to max

MOT fail on glovebox?05 Aug 2006 14:38 GMT10
The glovebox lock has packed up and keep falling open. I'm having trouble
getting a replacement before the MOT is up. Just now I've used a piece of
duct-tape to hold it closed - but is that an MOT failure point? (Seems trivial
to me but I never know about these things.) - Thanks

Clio autos04 Aug 2006 23:00 GMT8
The wife's got an auto Clio - and the gearbox /still works!/
But what actually fails on them? I notice from perusing eBay that the
world seems full of Clios with dead autoboxes. I know the standard cure
is to replace the entire box - or bin the whole car, but what is it that

My son's Astra came to a stop on the motorway with a lack of power, no
