Currently when you buy a new car you can go to several dealers to see which
will give you the best price. If a car company wanted to stop this they
could tell their dealers not to give quotes to people who had already had a
quote from another dealer according to their computer ...

OK my turn to ask for help :)
Renault megane, phase 1 gearbox oil. Haynes says Tranself TRX 75W/80W.
Cant find it. Renault want 15 quid a litre and it needs 4 litres. I'm
presuming its synthetic for that price. I know some gearboxes have

checked the fuse and I notice the engine no longer picks up speed at idle

I have been to look at a car to buy, and noticed a rusty crack in the
paintwork.  It is a 03 fiesta, and the crack is on the outside of the wheel
arch bit that you can only see by opening the rear door.  It is in a large
flat area, not near a seam or anything.  the crack runs ...

Someone fitted a towbar to the vehicle and made a mess of the
connections.  I have manged to restore all of the lights, except the
left indicator.  I have tried redoing the connection but still the

I have a 94 Nissan Primera. The right hand rear brake wont lock when I pull
the handbrake. How do I adjust the handbrake, or what else could I try to

We have an M reg Mondeo turbo diesel with a strange fault I think..
Occasionally when you go to start it and turn the key to the warm-up
setting the thing appears like the battery is flat..but it is'nt. If
you turn the key back again the radio comes on and the lights work. To

I want to remove fuse 29 (alarm and central locking) on a L Reg Ford
Escort. The Ford manual says it's on the rear side of the fuse box but
I can't find it.
Any ideas how to access it? My Haynes manual has no reference to this

i have a rover 200 turo,deisal,when i start it up it starts smocking a
greaish cloude of smoke out the exsurst and spluters a bit but after a
while it it ok,does any one no if this is a big problem,i have always
keept the tank half full and not let it get empty,any advise,
