Exhaust paint?28 Aug 2006 19:53 GMT25
The rear silencer on my Saxo 1.5D ('99, non cat), and the last six inches of
the centre section pipe, are on the way out with rust. They're not blowing
yet. I'm tempted to try prolonging the life by painting them. However I have
no expectation at all that a standard high temp ...

Been getting a rattly/squeeky noise from the car, combined with the

Double push window switches.28 Aug 2006 10:24 GMT16
Which cars other than BMW use these - gentle push for intermittent or firm
push for all the way? I've got so used to this on my BMW I'm going to fit
a similar system to my other car. The electronics ain't a problem, but the
design (size) and cost of the switches are so I'd like to ...
Escort Auxilliary Belt28 Aug 2006 10:07 GMT2
I'm having the auxilliary belt on my Ford Escort (1998 1.6 Finesse)
changed next week.  Garage has quoted £30 including labour.  My
question is: is it worth getting the water pump renewed at the same
time as I have heard that these can cease at higher mileages?
