Calliper spring trouble18 Aug 2006 23:53 GMT8
After changing the brake pads on my Fiesta without any problem I tried
to reassemble the brakes on the Ka after aborting a suspension arm
change (due to it suddenly chucking it down with rain and then running
out of time). All went fine until I tried to refit the spring holding
Fiat Tipo 1.4ie clutch18 Aug 2006 23:41 GMT4
I've ot a bit of a problem, the clutch on my father's 1994 Tipo 1.4ie
seems to have disconnected itself somewhere.
I guess it's probably a broken cable as moving the clutch pedal up and
down doesn't seem to cause anything under the bonnet to move. Problem
Mondeo DMF failure18 Aug 2006 19:26 GMT2
Ihave an 02 registered 51 plate 2.0 L HE petrol Mondeo with 53,000
miles on it. I am pretty sure that I have a DMF failure - in fact the
local garage bloke says 98%. He also suggested I should visit my local
Ford dealer and tell them of the problem as they ( Ford) had received a
Focus 2003 - rear brake change question18 Aug 2006 19:11 GMT2
I need to change the rear brakes on a 2003 focus , haynes manual says a
special tool is required to get the pistons back , but also says you may be
able to do it with long nose pliers.
Before I attempt it myself , has anyone changed the rear pads on a focus

Background later, so you can skip it if bored :)
Basic question is, is the crank in the Vaux Cavalier (around a 1992),

As we cannot get the gearbox to mate with the engine, as the torque

Peugueot 106 Knocking Noise18 Aug 2006 09:47 GMT2
My 106 has only just had its MOT but I have just noticed that there is a
knocking noise (sounds like it is at wheel rotation speed) when I go around
a left hand turn.
What is this likely to be and does it need urgent attention?
Audi A4 Avant (1997) reverse light problem18 Aug 2006 09:36 GMT2
I'm a little stuck trying to get the reverse lights to work in my 97 A4
Avant. I've changed both bulbs and checked all the fuses in the fusebox
and they still don't work. I wondered if anyone has any ideas where I
should start looking next?
Mondeo Rust Advice18 Aug 2006 09:33 GMT4
My 97 Mk2 Mondeo has a bit of rust bubling up on the rear wheelarch right at
the top, this looks like it was started by a small impact (shopping trolley
etc...) many years ago.
Basically my question is this. As it looks like the rust is bubling up from

Clio Indicators17 Aug 2006 19:50 GMT5
Still no joy with the Clio indicators the only indicate left even when
you signal right, Indicator switch replaced, hazard switch
checked, earths checked, all by an autoelectrician. So it looks like we
are going to have to spend £400 on this module thing.

Can anyone give me an idea what kind of fuel consumption I might expect from
one of these, doing mostly motorway cruising?
Looking at buying a 2002 model with 53K on the clock.
Cheers
