Hi, My Peugeot 306 turbo diesel was a bit smokey so I added a bottle of Redex diesel treat afew days ago. It now appears to be even more smokier. What can be the reason for this? Is it just the treat working its way through or has the treat damaged the car? Also, what could be

Has any one every had problems with there breaks, and wheel hubs? Since i have had the car, i have done about 30k miles and in that time every 10k or so i have to have discs / pads and wheel hubs replacing. The garage says its because the hubs are over heating.

i saw a gunson emission tester(link below) at halfords and was thinking of getting one to tune my mini to be able to monitor emissions as part of my weekly checks. i also wondered if it would be able to check emissions on my relatives

I have a vehicle fitted with a Renault 1.9 non turbo diesel. It has an electronic 'throttle' but no EGR,airflow or inlet temperature sensor. I want to replace the electronic injection pump with a manual one.Is this possible and which pump do I need and which car would one be in?

I need to replace the rear discs & pads on my 2000 Xsara 2.0 hdI. Is a caliper piston wind-back tool required (i.e to rotate the pistons), or do they just push straight back? TIA

Started my car this morning to see to the handbrake and battery light stay on, whilst driving. In the past they have flicked on for half a second. But never for as long as they did today (40 mins)

Ex-wife asked me tonight what the problem might be with her fan settings in above car. The fact that she mentioned smoke appearing and that the fan only works on position 4 (full) suggests that the resistor pack has blown. Unfortunately it didn't burn her car out but such is life ...

Poor idling, the suspected part is air mass meter inside the throttle body. Is there any way to diagnose it? I'd like to make sure if it really fails before going to replace a whole throttle... Possible other faults? /Krystian

Bought this with driver side elec windows not working. Took the console apart and it looks like the wires to the switch have been cut. Theres about 6 wires including 3 brown. The coloured ones are easy to match up but theres 3 brown...

Only does it occasionally. Temparature will go right up... If you put the heaters on for about 30 secs it goes straight back to normal and is OK then. Only happens every day or two like this. Someone mentioned it may be air bubble in the water system?
