Found the problem causing the squeak09 Sep 2006 20:22 GMT6
All,
Didn't take long to get to the bottom of it... Got the drum off the
right rear which sounded like the likely candidate and had a look at the
pads. They're about 2mm thick so no problem there however I suspect that

Rev Limiter09 Sep 2006 01:41 GMT3
Excuse me because this is the hieght of laziness but I've lost my Haynes (if
it would help).
BMW 318i of 1992 vintage.  When I hit just over 3000 revs it is as if the
rev limiter is partially kicking in. The engine vibrates and there is a loss
CO Emissions - huh?08 Sep 2006 22:43 GMT11
It's nearly that time of year again so I found out my old MOT cert for my
Bravo, and remembered there was some hassle with getting the emissions down

passed) the CO limit was 0.20% and it managed 0.17% on ...

OK, just place your food snobbery to one side for a moment.
Let's face it, Vesta Meals rocked! And it stinks that you can't get them

1996 Audi Cabriolet 2.6 V6, failed its MOT08 Sep 2006 15:52 GMT8
My car just failed its MOT, the reason given was very high CO2 readings.
What could be the cause? They think it's the catalyst but I'd rather
have other ideas to investigate as that's expensive to buy.

Cheap Runaround  - Where ?08 Sep 2006 14:56 GMT11
Where is the best place to pick up a cheap (emphasis on cheap !) little
runaround these days.  Ebay has some but they usually go for silly money -
e.g .  1992 Pug 205 for £900 - I think not !.  Autotrader/Friday Ads have
very little worth looking at.  Is it still possible to go ...
