How do they work? The ones on my Pug 406 normally work well, but in drizzle seem to either be far too keen or downright apathetic. I can't see any obvious moisture detecting electrodes in a cursory inspection.

My mother owns a 1994(L) Rover 214 which has developed a frequent problem after re-starting with a warm engine. She tells me that after it has been parked when hot and it is re-started, the car will drive for a short distance - less than 1/2 mile before the engine splutters ...

My wifes Clio has had several problems with the exhaust gas monitor staying on. The 1st time it was deemed to be the sensor, the second, the plugs. It has now started again and this time is accompanied by 'chugging', etc and starts around 60mph.

Have been struggling to replace the timing belt on my citreon ax 1.5 diesel in situ. Have managed to lock of the crankshaft and timing belt at TDC but cannot find ant way to do this on the injector pump. Any help appreciated?

2001 BMW 320D when i switch on my indicators to turn right, they start flashing at a very fast rate as if a bulb blown. After 2 seconds they flash normaly and all indicators flash correctly, is there something on its way out?

Just acquired a 97 previa and the remote lock doesnt work.Inside it refers to changing batteries within 10 mins or code is lost.Clearly battery ran down and never replaced. How do i recode it??

On my Volvo 850 T5 when the indicator is flashing right it flashes at twice the speed of when indicating left. I would have thought it would always be the same. Would appreciate any thoughts on what might be causing this.

I had a car battery on my desk to charge it, I have since noticed a patch of wet on the desk which on cleaning up revealed a battery shaped mess of the surface. Is this normal? I didn't notice anything spewing out of the caps on the top
