Good socket set?22 Nov 2006 15:46 GMT35
I am currently using a Draper Expert Socket Set and I am fed up of
the 12 indent pattern rounding off nuts.
I am thus looking for a new 6 indent set of similar if not better
quality.
Peugeot 406 HDi 9022 Nov 2006 14:43 GMT6
I wonder if anyone could help me. I have had many older indirect
Peugeot diesel engine cars, but this is my first encounter with the HDi
version. On hard throttle the engine seems to make a pronounced loud
ticking (almost like a tappet noise) sound until around 3100 rpm, and
Angle Grinder Recommendations22 Nov 2006 10:13 GMT47
I'm about to start the bodywork restoration of my old Triumph Spitfire which
entails cutting out serious amounts of rust. I'm therefore going to need a
new 4.5" angle grinder but want one that will stand up to the job - any
recommendations on a make and model. I'm assuming the ...
Audi a4 1997 tdi total power loss22 Nov 2006 08:51 GMT7
Whilst accelerating in 5th gear from 50 to 70mph I hit a total flat
spot and putting my foot down actually slowed the car down, now it
drives like a tractor. The turbo is still whistling smoothly so I dont
think its a mechanicaly blown turbo, although thats what it feels like.

Damp BMW boot21 Nov 2006 19:25 GMT18
I have a 320d 03-plated BMW.  It seems to be accumulating damp in the boot and starting to smell.
I reckon there is a tiny water leak somewhere.
There is always significant condensation up in the two rear corners behind where the boot lid hinges bolt in. Also, if you were to place ...

Air flow meter21 Nov 2006 18:43 GMT2

Nissan Micra Electronic Key Stops Working21 Nov 2006 18:32 GMT3
I have just bought an 03 reg Nissan Micra  1L E model car from a main
dealer.  The second ignition key did not work reliably and they were a bit
perplexed so ended up replacing both keys and reprogramming the codes from
the Nissan database.
What's the law regarding side lights?21 Nov 2006 16:46 GMT29
I noticed that one of my front side light bulbs had blown so decided to
buy a pack of 2 and change both sides.  It's very rare I drive on just
side lights alone but if the headlights are on then it's not possible to
tell if a side bulb is not working. This got me thinking, would it ...
Testing clutch21 Nov 2006 16:35 GMT4
I had a new clutch fitted a couple of weeks ago to my Rover 200. On the whole it
seems OK but I have developed some doubts and would like to know a definitive
way of testing it.
On the first couple of day, I got it back, after putting it into reverse to go
BMW 320d MAF21 Nov 2006 16:23 GMT7
2001 320D MAF, I have red in a forum somewhere that if you suspect the
MAF to be faulty unplug it and run the car and the performance should
increase if the MAF is indeed the culprit.
Is this true?
