Stupid I know, but I offered to change the instrument panel lamps in a
friends 1997 Fiat Ducato. The ones that illuminate, or not, the heater
and ventilation controls.Problem is I can't actually seem to work out

Changing bulbs on Megane?19 Nov 2006 23:00 GMT4
Does anyone know if it is easy to change the bulbs on a Megane, what
type of bulb they take and how you can do it? I have a rear right
light not working. I have heard that the fronts are quite difficult to
change and some people have to take off the bumper to do it?
Central locking on loop Mondeo Mk2 Zetec19 Nov 2006 21:41 GMT6
My Mondys' central locking has just spontaneously decided to auto
unlock every time I try and lock it manually or with the key fob. So at
the moment I can't lock it. I have disconnected the battery to try and
reset the circuitry but it remains.

Bearing noise that isn't a bearing19 Nov 2006 17:12 GMT17
Peugeot 106 1995 1.5D 77k miles, making a classic "bearing on the way out"
humming noise above about 30mph. Only it's not a bearing as I've changed all
four and it's still doing it. Wondering now about the drive shafts. Have
checked for wear and no obvious signs of it but the ...

Help - Fiesta being engulfed in mayonnaise!19 Nov 2006 02:43 GMT19
A friend has an N reg Fiesta  (1.1 pushrod engine) which seems to have
developed a lot of 'mayonnaise' inside the rocker cover. Deposits are
even present on the dipstick. The car is used for short runs only and I
realise this doesn't help.
Bangernomics - next buy.18 Nov 2006 22:35 GMT36
My current 416GSi will be heading for the scrappie this year.
5 years and 60k miles for £425 isn't bad IMHO, but it's looking shabby
and rust is setting in so time to scrap it and start again.
Priorities are:

Fiesta MK3 sump plug?18 Nov 2006 11:47 GMT1
I was about to do an oil change on my Fiesta MK3 1.1 and discovered
that the sump plug was not a bolt as expected. I don't have any serious
jacking equipment so have to squirm underneath thus not giving the best
view possible. However,it appears to be round. I first thought it ...
