| How much is this volvo worth? | 31 Dec 2006 22:29 GMT | 14 |
Ok, how much would you say this Volvo S70 T5 Ex-police is worth? Bearing in mind at auction I saw a black R reg 2.4T CD (not a T5) model with full recorded history and 79k on the clock go for 1600 pounds.

| Ford Focus 55 reg boot opening when break applied | 31 Dec 2006 17:57 GMT | 3 |
My mum has a 55 reg new style Ford Focus automatic. There is an intermittent fault. When the break is applied the boot/hatch clicks open. So far the boot hasn't opened fully, but who knows when/if.

| Octavia slow water loss. | 31 Dec 2006 17:43 GMT | 10 |
I've got an Octavia 1.8 (5 valve per pot Audi engine) which is losing a bit of water, maybe 1 litre a month in the last 2 months. Immediate thoughts were a cooling system leak, but no apparent leaks have been found.

| Squealing tyres | 31 Dec 2006 12:10 GMT | 12 |
The front tyres on my Audi squeals every time I move off from a standing position. Tyres were replaced recently but still does this. Are there any mechanical reasons why this happens?

| Totally hypothetical question | 31 Dec 2006 11:56 GMT | 11 |
Pre-emptive maintenance. My mondeo is a 1996 model. Say for instance I wanted to change the water pump. Would it be worth my while to do it before it dies? Having it break down on the A1 for example could prove a lot costlier than changing it after 10 years.

| Rover 214i Stalling - could it be the inertia switch?? | 31 Dec 2006 06:51 GMT | 7 |
I am looking at a Rover 2.4i (L-Reg) with an intermittent stalling problem which appears to be fuel starvation. According to the wiring diagram in the Haynes workshop manual, there in an "inertia switch" in line between the fuel pump relay and the electric fuel pump.

| Cambelt on '95 Mk3 Golf GTi (2.0 16v) | 30 Dec 2006 23:01 GMT | 5 |
A friend has just acquired one of these, and I was investigating what was required to do a cambelt job on it. Autodata has been a bit shite, to say the least, with it's information as the diagram shows only one cam...yet it's a DOHC engine.

| Emissions Failure: CO reading | 30 Dec 2006 13:04 GMT | 23 |
My 1996 Citroen AX 954CC has failed its MOT on CO emissions. All other emissions readings were within tolerance. The MOT tester seemed to think this was the CAT, but that was only replaced in November 2005. What are the other likely culprits for a higher than legal CO reading?

| Rover 420 (Air con) heater/gauge problems... | 30 Dec 2006 08:45 GMT | 2 |
1997 420 GSI Air con model, temp gauge works VERY sporadically (more often not working than is), heater takes an age to give out ANY heat. Water level ok and clean, and no warning lights on, so I'm suspecting the top hose thermostat, any other suggestions.

| Ford Puma/Fiesta air-bag light | 29 Dec 2006 20:47 GMT | 1 |
I have replaced the steering wheel on my 98/R Puma 1.7 with another Puma wheel in better condition. The airbag LED now flashes every 5 secs or so since. I re-checked the airbag plug and it's fine, any idea how I get the LED to stop flashing? Is it a Ford job?
