What would make the accelerator pedal dip by itself?
On occasion the SOFavorit (1995 1.3i) revs all by itself to a steady engine
speed somewhere between 2500-3000rpm, most often beginning when over-running
and for about 20 seconds or so or until I boot it up to 5000-6000 rpm in

My car is a 1.6 Golf (2001), runs perfectly except at idle when it often
runs very roughly. Been to garage several times but no improvement. Any
ideas?

I have purchased a Megane 5 door 1.4 exp with 26000 miles, the service is
due and I want to know about the gearbox. The gear change is relatively
smooth but whilst driving in each gear, the lever does tend to 'dance
around' It does not pop out of gear at all. Could anyone tell me ...

If a car is resting on it's bump stops the springs are knacked - right?
( McPherson, front ) Trouble is the springs are only 6 months
old........... any other likely causes that I might have missed?

Have a 1994 cavalier 1.8 and it has a misfire.Have changed plugs,leads,fuel
fiter,distributor cap and this has not helped.Could it be a problem with th

I drove my wifes rover yesterday and the heater stopped putting out
warm air!!
the coolant level was a bit low so i topped it up but its still not

took car for mot today (mondy 1.8 zetec mk2 p reg) failed on cat.
Couple of weeks ago i replaced exhaust manifold as old one had cracked.
Ive noticed the car has been idling a bit rough and is running rich (sooted

hi, i have had me car for just over a week and overall everythign seems
fine with it, however it seems to be running a bit rough the last few
days. it feels like driving over hundreds of tiny bumps in the road and

s reg mercedes ML320 had a flat battery for a while, battery replaced now
car wont start,
seems to be more electrical as engine turns over and starts to fire then
switches straight off

I took the wife up to Tescos tonight and thought I'd better fill up the ZX
as the fuel guage was in the critical area. It has a 55 litre tank but it
took 57.8 litres. Must have been running on fumes !!!
