Anyone got a guide to fitting a cambelt to a 1.4 corsa 1994 (not the 16v
one - the one with the dizzy cap)

Tyres19 Dec 2006 11:09 GMT3
I find my son's car pretty uncomfy at times, and I think it could be down to
tyres. It's a year 2000 Escort 'finesse' (not) - I'm aware from my own past
that escorts aren't the most refined of vehicles, but I've had the
suspension checked out, and it seems it's fine.
Poor diesel starting19 Dec 2006 09:31 GMT36
I have a diesel car with the Citroen/Peugeot DW8 engine that has become
reluctant to start, especially on cold mornings. It runs OK once
started.
My initial thought was duff glow plugs. However, if I cycle the
damp diesel19 Dec 2006 09:17 GMT8
Although my Mazda 323F 2.0Tdi (1999) starts on the button, it has started to
'misfire' (lumpy running) until it warms up. This started when the weather
got cooler, more particularly on damper mornings (it lives on the drive).
Once the engine has been warmed up it does not happen ...
Automatics in snow/winter?18 Dec 2006 15:53 GMT29
Are automatics bad when driving in snow/winter? Or do they all have
winter modes?
If automatics were so bad in snow then you would think automatic
volvos etc in sweden would be uncommon?
corsa braking problem18 Dec 2006 08:28 GMT4
my sons 93 corsa  will not stop unless you stand on the brakes, its had
new flexi pipes all round, shoes are adjusted to just touching the
drums, no leaks in rear cylinder, sliders on the front are clean and
the caliper slides, pistons are not binding. it feels like the servo is
Pothole17 Dec 2006 20:57 GMT12
bad night for all concerned in my town. MASSIVE pothole in the road, I go
over it at 20ish, and my offside front wheel is buggered, along with
possibly the back wheel. Had to change the back wheel.
2 different vehicles go past and say 'that happened to me earlier' - so why
Clio 1.4 1995 clutch pedal17 Dec 2006 20:44 GMT1
I wonder if anyone can help me.  I have just had the clutch cable and
pedal refitted by a garage.  The parts seem to be fitted correctly, but
the clutch pedal is now about 70mm higher than brake and accelerator
pedals.  This doesn't seem right.
Cat Emmisions17 Dec 2006 20:29 GMT4
Car cats that is.
A friend of mine has just attempted suicide, he did have an over night stay
in hospital and was not too well at all.
The doctors told him the reason he did not die was because the car had a cat
Batteries and multimeters17 Dec 2006 18:23 GMT42
Not sure if my battery is a little flat.  Starts ok but I have noticed that
the head lamps dip when the car is idling and it looks like the original
battery (car is 6 years old).
Going to buy a multi-meter this lunch time to test the voltage.  What
thirsty previa17 Dec 2006 13:11 GMT19
I recently bought a petrol uk previa 97. It failed mot on emmissions and
cost me 980 in garage costs to replave exhaust, catalyzer and o2 sensor.
It is used for two short school runs a day , am and pm,10 miles in total.
The heater blows hot in process so I guess the engine is warmed ...
Short Journeys...a summary....17 Dec 2006 09:30 GMT25
In case anyone pops back to see what the consensus of opinion was regarding
my 'short journeys' post, I have summarised below, to save them from wading
through the noise.
