Puddles inside the Passat10 Dec 2006 10:58 GMT1
I have a 2003 VW Passat and the footwell is filling with water on the
rear passenger side, I think it might be coming from the air con pipe
under the passenger seat, can that be right? surely the piping is
internal?

My local branch in Tooting has these for 13 quid. Small and light SMPS
type which can do 6 or 12 volts, all types of lead acid including SLA gel
types, pulse charge for attempted recovery of deep discharge, and a
maintenance charge so it can be left on indefinitely. Peak output is ...

Fiesta Ghia 2001 remote key programming09 Dec 2006 18:06 GMT5
I had to replace the battery in the key recently and guess that it now
needs reprogramming or recognising by the central locking system so it
will work remotely again. Have found instructions for the Mondeo but
nothing for mine. Any ideas, or will the Ford dealer charge a ...

Use vasiline on windows rubbers09 Dec 2006 12:57 GMT15

used vasiline on the window rubbers and now everytime I open my windows I
get smear marks all over the window!
Any advice on how to get rid of it ?
How to change brake diiscs?09 Dec 2006 12:55 GMT33
How do I change the brake discs on a nissan bluebird? Is it a
difficult job? Bearing in mind the age of the car and them being on a
long time.
My car won't start09 Dec 2006 08:45 GMT4
I have a Rover 214 (1998). It has had a bit of a knock but I'm not sure if
this is relevant. We drove a short distance, stopped and turned the engine
off. When we came back to it about ten minutes later it wouldn't start. The
dashboard lights come on but the starter motor does ...
MoT Question09 Dec 2006 00:48 GMT7
Apparently the computerised MoT system includes (not surprisingly) the
option to abort a test partway through.
1. Do such aborts get logged and appear on the www.motinfo.gov.uk database
as a test started but aborted?
Slightly O/T - New Car08 Dec 2006 23:04 GMT21
I have decided to replace the aged Xsara and Panda with something a little
more 'to date'. Could I ask your opinions?.
Family sized (2 Adults, 2 Kids), HAS to be automatic (Missus can't drive
anything else), Don't do many miles per year so petrol/diesel not an issue,

I have a G registered C15 diesel Romahome, (carvanette) that  I bought

Dead Zafira - any ideas?08 Dec 2006 19:13 GMT12
Driving down from Scotland ten days ago, exhaust emissions light came on
(steady). Drove the last 90 miles home at 50-60 mph, car was running OK.
Called the Vauxhall dealers the next day hoping to check it in for a
diagnostic test. There was going to be several days delay, but the ...
Roadworthiness in a private sale08 Dec 2006 18:17 GMT3
The law says that in a private sale the vehicle has to be roadworthy unless
it is explicitly stated that the vehicle is not being sold as a going
concern (or something like that - scrap, spares/repairs, MoT failure,
non-runner, etc.)
Tyres08 Dec 2006 18:12 GMT35
The front tyres on Hyundai Coupe SE need replacing. They are currently
Michelin 215/45ZR17. The ZR rating is probably completely over the top for
me - I never do over 130mph!!! So I assume an H rating would be fine for me
(up to 130mph).
