Autoexpress 'Wiper' Test12 Jan 2007 10:46 GMT10
They rated TP TV480 as the best overall.
TP refers to the manufacturer 'TruPart'. 480 isn't a model number, just an
indication of the length. I required 20's size-wise, so went for the TV500.
They were cheap, but also pretty crappy. They squeek very often, unless on
Renault Clio Diesel drive shaft12 Jan 2007 08:48 GMT7
Had a fault on a Clio van. Gearbox was replaced a few months ago. Suddenly

After a few checks, we discovered that the circlip which holds the outer
sleeve of the inner LH driveshavt CV had come off.
first gear/reverse11 Jan 2007 18:59 GMT10
I have a 12 year old Escort, lately it has been difficult getting it in
to first gear and/or reverse. Somedays are fine, others are a pig, even
if the engine is off. It does *not* make any crunching or grinding
noises, and when driving there is *no* clutch slip at all. Often colder

pressure
it wasnt QUITE the model I intended! So I am toying with some upgrades:

Rainwater in my Micra heater?11 Jan 2007 01:20 GMT2
Last night I got in my daughter's K11 Micra and when the ignition was
switched on, there was a "sloshing" noise coming from the heater.
This noise comes on when you turn the fan on, and goes when you turn it
off.

Punto brake woes10 Jan 2007 22:00 GMT10
Short Version:
Far too much travel on the brake pedal and the brake fluid seems to be full
of air, almost looks like it's full of bloody fizzy lager not brake fluid.
Help!
Any VW Gurus ? Golf Cold start issues.10 Jan 2007 20:47 GMT4
See if you can decipher this slightly annoying problem.
Year 2000 Golf. (But still a MKIII as it's a hairdresser's ragtop).
1.6 SOHC. Same engine as fitted to Golfs since Victorian times.
Runs perfectly apart from starting from stone cold where it needs nursing on
Saxo VTR clutch10 Jan 2007 20:34 GMT6
The clutch would appear to be dragging badly. Can't get it into gear with
engine running, crunches when trying reverse. When you fire up engine in
gear and clutch down, car wants to move forward, and smoke from clutch.
Cable appears to be adjusted ok, but I've only seen the car ...

CAR INSURANCE CLAIM10 Jan 2007 14:23 GMT9
I rear ended another car last night.
My mechanic suggests I should claim as the insurance company will
probably write off my 13 year old car.
The other car didn't actually receive much damage and the owner at the
