I have recently started to have problems with my 1998 Vauxhall Astra Sport

ago and the engine started missing.  I got the code P0201 from the diags,
which means a fault with injector number 1.  I put it to ...

Car not starting after very short run earlier06 Feb 2007 17:18 GMT11
Friend called today to say his BMW wouldn't start - I went round and found
the engine would crank over very briskly but it made no attempt to fire.
Friend started to recall that a dealer had said he has many call outs to
cars where the engine had been run for a very short time - ...
Fiesta idle air control valve06 Feb 2007 17:05 GMT16
Whipped the valve off because of stalling issues and there was a bit of
crud on the mechanism. I gave it a good blast with compressed air,
refitted it and it's quite a bit better now but still not perfect. Do I
need to clean it with something else or take it apart (couldn't see how
03 Focus 2 litre turbo diesel.06 Feb 2007 13:22 GMT3
Or rather I think that's what it is - it belongs to my niece's husband.
And it's giving problems starting from cold. Garage says it's a common
fault and it needs a new flywheel sensor. Which means a new flywheel.
Sounds iffy to me, but then I've never owned a diesel.
Citroen Xsara up to 2001 and later then 200106 Feb 2007 13:07 GMT5
Is there much difference between these two or there are just cosmetic
changes?
How applicable would be the "old Xsara" Haynes manual to a newer
(2002) model - totaly/mostly/partialy?

paintwork finish damaged06 Feb 2007 12:47 GMT18
My son is an idiot.
He decided to wash his car (dark blue Fiesta) with a little washing-up
sponge that had a green nylon scouring pad on one side.
The paintwork is now covered in swathes of tiny scratches.
Teed Off - Failed MOT at Renault!06 Feb 2007 11:06 GMT31
I had my first experience of Renault customer care today. Wasn't too
impressed to say the least.

Weird noise from car06 Feb 2007 00:07 GMT6
Feel a little daft asking but I haveheard a very strange noise from my 2001

in neutral I hear this kind of glug glug sound kind of like you hear when

306 Brake problem05 Feb 2007 21:37 GMT2
I wrote here a while back about a hissing from the dashboard
Someone kindly wrote back and said it was the brake servo diaphram..... (I
think) and that there was no rush to get it done...
So I thought the MOT is due soon and I would wait to get them done together.
