I have a problem where my cable seems to have stretched and I cannot open my bonnet. Anyone have any idea how to open it? TIA

Audi a4 1.9tdi 1997 This weekend my bonnet on the above vehicle, released onto the safety catch at 70mph, a little worrying, pulled onto the hard shoulder and closed the bonnet, it realeases with the slightest force.

Hi, I have a Mondeo Mark 2 and need to buy some new lights to it. But everyone refers to them as H1's, H501's, H7, etc. How can I find out what I need to buy? The guy in my local auto shop doesnt know anything about cars!

Have just purchased a1999 Mazda 626 2lt GSi Estate and the battery seems to be the original and is needing to be changed. Is there anything I need to know about , eg: re-setting immobiliser maybe or is it just a straight swap over ?

My Omega 2ltr GLS auto N plater has a heating problem and after much deliberation I can confidently say "it must be a blocked heater matrix". The problem started when I flushed the cooling system a couple of times (chemicals used) and suddenly all I started getting

I have an Alfa Romeo 147, 2.0. Since I bought new it has always had fully synthetic oil (for changes and top-ups) as was recommened by the original dealer. For the last service I've taken the car to a new dealer and made sure they were aware that that's what I've been using.

I need to touch up a ford escort finesse. I have been told that there should be a plate under the bonnet mentioning the colour code. I cant see this ifo , can anyone tell me if I am looking in the right place at least?

I have one of the chargers designed to be left charging a battery full time. It was a fairly expensive one that was supposed to do all sorts of tricks to keep the battery in good condition. I was wondering if it OK to use it to charge the car battery with it still

I've got a problem with my 1994 306 1.6 (injection) misfiring. I've only had it a couple of months and it's always misfired at between 40-50mph doing about 2000-2500 revs. However, this was always a very gentle misfire so I've been lazy and not got it sorted.
