Airbag warning light on Punto MK-II23 Feb 2007 15:41 GMT40
I was trying to source a rattle behind the dash on a Punto (2000 Reg).
After removing and replacing the instrument panel a few times and

box, the Airbag warning light is now permanently on and the passenger

Brake Discs/Pads22 Feb 2007 13:03 GMT24
Phoned the very few local Ford dealers near me to enquire about mk6 Escort
brake discs/pads on their own, no fitting etc. Got quoted silly money;
anybody got any idea which manufacturer makes Ford brake parts?
I've been trawling the net, and noticed on eurocarparts that 'Ate' and

A way to reduce insurance cost21 Feb 2007 00:01 GMT14
A girl I know (39 years old) asked for an insurance quote (elephant.co or
diamond, I forget which she said) for herself, she then asked how much to
add an extra driver (50 years old)  The quote with two drivers was 50 quid
cheaper than her alone!  So if you are asking for a quote ...
Hand brake warning light. Almera.20 Feb 2007 23:51 GMT10
With the engine switched on the hand brake warning light is flickering
or going out prior to me taking the hand brake off.
Is this just a hiccup or signs of electrical problems. (as far as I
can see other warning lights are working)
Potential Astra F distributor failure?20 Feb 2007 13:20 GMT3
I've a 1992 Opel Astra F with 201K miles on clock. Recently, the
average fuel economy has dropped from 50mpg to 44 mpg and in cold damp
conditions, the car is sometimes very difficult to start if left
standing for more than a few days. It idles smoothly though. While
Renew input shaft bearing20 Feb 2007 10:19 GMT17
It's an Mk1 Mondeo and the bearing noise is annoying. The judder when
starting isn't helpful either! Judder probably means that the oil
seals should also be renewed. What else should be renewed "once we're
there"?
Compression loss - what happenned?20 Feb 2007 01:25 GMT16
I left the trusty old cavalier at my father's house whilst I went on holiday
for 2 weeks. I told him there was no need to drive or run it to charge the
battery. However, when I returned he informed me that he had "run it for a
few minutes to charge the battery", ugh.
