I was wondering if most ECUs can recognise an engine going backwards, and not attempt to fuel it? For example, if stalled going up a hill, and allowed to roll backwards fast enough to reach its operating RPM, or slammed into reverse to stop

Just wondered if anyone can help me out. I have a old Cavalier, when I turn hard right I get a a funny rubbing noise come from underneath on the righthand side. Anyone know what this might be and if it will be an instant fail on the MOT as this is coming up in the next few weeks.

My old N reg metro going to the scrapyard & I'd like to recover the 20 quids worth of petrol before it goes. I've tried a tube in the tank without success, it goes in OK but won't go below the fuel level, so sucks air.

Looks like the aftermarket MAF I fitted to my S70 has given up the ghost after just 5 weeks! :-( Up until today, all was fine, been getting 26mpg on my commute which is 60% urban, 40% motorway - I think that's pretty decent for that cycle in a T5
