Hi - my brother hasn't had his car serviced since he bought it 4years ago!
I said I'd do it for him but can anyone tell me what type of oil they use?
Synthetic/Semi or mineral oil? 1996 1.6 LX
Also,haven't looked under the bonnet yet,are they quite straightforward to

I posted recently about two bolts stuck in the cyl head of  bike engine. I
tried suggestions here to remove them but unfortunately no sucess, I'd say
someone must have cross threaded them. Anyway I put in two Helicoils but
when I tried to break the tab on one of them it didn't ...

I had my Audi A3 serviced last week at a main Audi dealer as the
warranty runs out in a few weeks time.  It was serviced and a couple
of minor issues were noted, both of which were because I pointed them

Had bonnet open and engine running today and the feed to the glow plugs
started smoking and is very hot.im not sure is this is a new problem or has

When the emissions are checked for the MoT test, on vehicles with lpg
conversions is it checked when running on petrol or gas?  I thought it
was tested on what the vehicle was running on at the time it is
presented for the MoT but my B-in-Law was told it has to be tested on

I bought petrol at a Morrissons supermarket on the 2nd January and on

Tesco are trying to win back customers by offering 3p per litre of
petrol/diesel for any clubcard customer when you spend 'any' amount in a
Tesco Store, like the spend £50 & get 5p per litre off

i have a slight problem with the engine reving between 2000 and 3000 revs.
the engine stutters slightly,
its not a bad stutter but it is there even when the engine is warm or cold.
the car is a 2002 astra estate, 1.6 8valve petrol.

My C5 has a habit of reverting to eco mode after being parked for a while.
The steering wheel controls stop working etc. Usual fix is a trip to the
dealers for a computer reboot or whatever they do.Is there any sort of self

Last week the CVT gearbox on my mother's K11e Micra stopped working. By
