Corsa-C Handbrake30 Mar 2007 15:55 GMT8
My wife has a Corsa -C.
The handbrake requires adjusting.
Unfortunately you need a special tool to remove the hubs (thanks
Vauxhall). I think I read somewhere you can make adjustment through a

"Car makers will be forced to cut carbon dioxide emissions produced by
new cars under fresh rules outlined today by the European commission.
The new rules, which car makers have warned will increase the price of
Urgently need to fix punto ingition coil29 Mar 2007 22:08 GMT15
1 of my fiat punto's ignition coils has juts packed up.
Need to fix it today - no garages open.
Was wondering if you could go to a scrap yard and get an ignition coil
from any small car and fit it as a temporary measure with a view to
Cannot open Sierra door29 Mar 2007 19:03 GMT13
How can I get my drivers door open?
Central locking has never worked on the drivers door since had car, but

I just want to tightem the wheel bearing nut29 Mar 2007 17:31 GMT15
I just want to put my rear wheel back on (rear shoes on Mazda 323) and
tighten the bearing nut to the right amount.  A specialist bearings

Vauxhall Frontera - Losing coolant - head gasket?29 Mar 2007 14:28 GMT15
In the last week, my Fronty has started losing water. I topped it up on
Saturday and have done about 100 miles since then (about 40 of them towing a
horse trailer and horse - total approx 1500kg). Last night I needed to add
another litre of water to the expansion tank, but don't ...
My idea, all mine!29 Mar 2007 10:06 GMT65
Here's an idea for cars.
How many people /don't/ smoke in their cars? And yet all cars come with
at least one ashtray, which are ill suited to other uses - they're too
small for litter, too fiddly for small change etc. Most ashtrays pop out
Rover Rear Washer28 Mar 2007 22:57 GMT5
The car is a Rover 214SEi 1995 N-reg (old shape).
Screen wash does not come out of the rear washer. Front washers OK.
Haynes says the "non return valve" may be blocked. I located this and
removed the pipe past the valve. Got the missus to operate the washer and
AA used car report - worth it?28 Mar 2007 19:51 GMT14
Thinking of buying a motor for about £2K (approx 3x as much as I've ever
spent in the past!) and wondering about getting a survey done on it.
Are the AA ones OK? Any other organisations doing them? What sort of money
do they cost and what do they tell you?
Radio cassette with Dolby28 Mar 2007 19:33 GMT16
The Grundig SC303 in my Cav has just gone doolally and won't tune in any
more.
'Proper' SC303s with the removable display (as opposed to the later ones
with a separate dash display) are impossible to find.
'90 BMW 320 Touring28 Mar 2007 18:43 GMT17
Likely MPG on this? My brother has a '98 318 and it struggles to get 28 on a
long easy run, low 20s trundling around locally. I have a mate wishing to
buy the '90 320 and was wondering how it compares, economy wise.

Nasty rattle from engine when clutch pedal down on my Saxo T reg27 Mar 2007 21:45 GMT4
Any ideas on what it might be.
Possible clutch problem ??? If it is. Is it worth just changing the
bit, or the plates and bearing etc.
Battery chargers27 Mar 2007 21:35 GMT9
This is a hypothetical question.....well, maybe!
I have two battery chargers, a 5 amp and a 4 amp.  What would be the effect
of hooking them both up to a battery at the same time. Would it increase the
charge current.
