starting trouble - nissan micra L shape21 Mar 2007 22:57 GMT10
I have a typical problem. I have a Nissan Micra L shaped. Off late it
is giving me trouble when I try to start it in the morning. I have got
the engine oil , oil filter and spark plug changed but og no use. Once
the vehicle get started during the later part of the day it runs

...hoping my cambelt isn't not be involved in this...
Hyundai Accent, S reg (70k on the clock, cambelt changed at 40k)
When I turn the ignition, I can't hear the starter motor as such, just
what sounds like a hammer drill under the bonnet :-}

this is a weird question, which is why I`m asking here before going to a
garage :-)
Basically I`ve been given a new wheel, the tyre of which would fit on my
car, the hub of which won`t fit on my car.  My current spare is pretty

My citroen xantia has developed an intermittent fault It starts ok and
drives and when I switch off and try to restart -dead as a dodo. Leave
it 30-45 minutes reset immobiliser and it will start. New battery
fitted in case but still same problem any thoughts john

I guess this one must have come up before as it's a known prob with
the old KA's . A couple of the wires have severed in the door loom and
the drivers electric window and speaker don't work . Unfortunately the
elec window one has gone right at the end so I'm having difficulty

I'm a little confused on where to put an axle stand. I understand I should
get under a car without one incase the jack fails.
I have read in a vw polo forum (car is a 1.4 polo 2001) that I should use a
supplied jack and jack up on a seal and put the axle stand on the jacking

I went to check the spark plugs on our Vauxhall tonight with a view of
checking on their condition and finding out what size were fitted.  I
removed the coil pack only to find the spark plugs were well and truly

Fiesta. I'd put it down to using my sat nav, but I've now ruled that out.
