| Peugeot Dealer 'Diagnostics'! | 15 Mar 2007 00:43 GMT | 1 |
Girl here at work bought privately a 106 1.4L petrol recently. Couple of weeks ago, it wouldn't start at all. Main dealers diagnosed ECU failure and recommended a new coil pack too (apparently the coil packs die and take out the ECU). Dealers wanted ~£600 for an ECU so she got ...

OK, i've done something really daft and gone an bought myself a shinny new black car, and everyone i've spoken to says that they are hard to clean as water droplets dry out into nice little round marks. So does anyone have any advice on cleaning/polishing a shinny new black car?

| Renault Scenic DCi 80, P2413 OBD-II "Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Performance" | 14 Mar 2007 19:52 GMT | 10 |
Could anyone please confirm whether they think this is likely to be the EGR valve? Is it possible to test/dismantle it to find out? The HBOL offers no help. The car's done less than 40K miles and now it suddenly came up with this

| Leaving crack in windscreen | 14 Mar 2007 17:22 GMT | 7 |
I have a crusty P Reg fiesta that has developed a crack in the windscreen. Apparently a new windscreen costs £150 which seems quite a lot to spend a car worth about £150. What happens if I just leave the crack to spread across the windscreen? Will it

| Vauxhall Omega - Wheel Scrape after Wishbone Change | 14 Mar 2007 11:38 GMT | 5 |
I've just changed the front suspension wishbones on my 98 omega. When i took it for a tentative test drive i found that when the wheels were turned they would scrape on the back of the wheel arches or mud flaps. This suggests that I've managed to sit the car lower than usual.

I've an Audi cabriolet, 2.6 V6 1996. Which of the Hayes Audi manuals can cover this model? I'm aware the cabriolet was based on a 80/90/100 floor plan and shares mechanicals with the others in the range. Thanks,

| Omega 2.5 V6 cambelt tensioners | 13 Mar 2007 22:08 GMT | 8 |
The car in question is an N reg 2.5 V6 Omega (June 96). If the tensioner was replaced in August 2003 is it likely to be the improved part that isn't a major liability like they used to be? (Part cost was around £170, with labour coming it at just over £200).

| Diesel Starting Problem 2 | 13 Mar 2007 19:21 GMT | 7 |
I have come to the conclusion that perhaps the glow plugs are ok and the relay is ok, it clicks on and off after about 10 seconds. Once the car has started if I turn it off straight and try and start again, it will. I am guessing that it is an air leak? Is there a hand primer ...
