Our Heavenly Father on 5-1-0607 Apr 2007 00:04 GMT2
Our Heavenly Father says, "A rock does not teach. A rock stands there
strong, but is used for other things; but, when human life was
created, it was to sustain the human mind, body, giving to it the
abilities that would one day suit every facet of it: progress morally,

Well, well. Renault bonnets.06 Apr 2007 20:45 GMT96
Watchdog just had their latest report on the Renault Clio 2 bonnet-popping
saga.
The Renault UK Head of PR (for ten years IIRC) has resigned and turned
whistleblower. He says they've known about the problem for a long time and

Another Focus ST1, ST2, ST3 Question06 Apr 2007 14:07 GMT18
Assuming the Focus ST is as good as is claimed, why are there so many low
mileage ST2/ST3s up for sale?
I was quite surprised at how many I found on Auto Trader, all with less than
15,000 miles, most with less than 10,000 miles.

MGB inner track rod end joints - MOT failure.06 Apr 2007 10:02 GMT13
My '73 MGB failed its MOT today.
Tester said that there is play in the inner track rod end joints. This
steering rack has done less that a couple of thousand miles, the rubbers
etc. are all in as new condition.
KwikFit grease monkey06 Apr 2007 00:56 GMT23
thought that I'd save time and get a grease monkey to do my oil change,
semi-sythetic Mobil 10-40 oil and filter for £25. Apart from the oil on the
bonnet and steering wheel it appears to be overfilled, I've driven home and
let the oil settle - but it's about 1cm higher on the ...
Tyres are seven years old - should I change them?06 Apr 2007 00:00 GMT6
Background first. A mate of mine drives (as I do) a Honda Insight. A few
months ago, at his last service, the dealer reported >5mm tread on all four
tyres. At his MOT recently, the car failed with exposure of the ply or cord.
That got me thinking.
Ford Mondeo 99 won't start05 Apr 2007 19:17 GMT2
My for Mondeo 1.8l decided that it wouldn't turn over yesterday
morning. The central locking is working fine, the interior light works
fine, but when I turn the key nothing happens, there is no noise from
the engine or the ignition (i.e. no clicking) it just seems dead. I
BMW 320D 2001 ?05 Apr 2007 19:04 GMT1
I have a rattling noise when the car is idling, and as the car
accelerates it starts to power away and then power drops right off,
could it be the catalytic converter broke loose internally causing the
rattle, and blocking exhaust gas flow when trying to accelerate, it

is metallic colour really harder to touch up?05 Apr 2007 17:12 GMT7

Is Araldite ok for metal?05 Apr 2007 11:53 GMT21
On my rather old tube of 'regular' Araldite it says it is ok for metal.
If this is so then why would I ever use one of those 2-part adhesives
sold specially for metal?  I mean the sort of thing that is usually
coloured grey and can often be bought in car accessory shops?
