Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8 i - Single point injection ...
Runs way too rich when cold, and when warm still runs rich with high revs.
Scanned the web, and checked all sensors inc CTS (even took it off and
checked resistance reading at diff temps and its ok)

My exhaust is dieing of old age and almost falling apart at least the middle
part is. The backbox ? and the front part seem fine the middle is rusting to

If a fully charged battery is connected in parallel to a flat battery for
some time, would the charge of both batteries more or less balance up if
left for long enough. Ie, a half charge in each?
I'm thinking of it as a method of keeping a battery charged to keep all the

my rover has started squealing when i am driving and i turn the steering
wheel left, but it only does it once the car has warmed up.
i have no idea what this could be, does anyone have any ideas?

A few months ago I fitted a new rear box to the old Rover 218SD (Non
Turbo) and I *think* it was fine to start with.
Then at some point it started to whistle, quite loud (easily heard
over the engine with the windows closed and the radio on!) and at it's

Personally, I would guess that prices in the South East are higher.

hi there, am looking through my fiesta options and trying to figure
out  why ford would offer 2 engines with similar horsepower: 1.25 16v
at 75HP and 1.4 16v at 80HP (link a) .max speed of 1.4 is only 2mph
more than 1.25 but mpg for extra urban is 15% worse.

The car is a 97 plate and the problem is sometimes on start up the engine
revs between 1,000 and2,000 over and over for a couple of mins then

The o/s stabiliser link/bush bar snapped on my daewoo lanos (same part
as fitted to the Astra).  Got one from local factors for a fiver. Easy
enough to fit but with never doing one before I'm not sure how much you
tighten the nylon lock nut?  As a guestimate I tightened till I ...

My Vauxhall 1.4i keeps cutting after some time of driving, usually at red
lights but also while moving.
I have changed a lot of part to repair it:
-Fuel Pomp & Relay

garage says exhaust is wrong one as shorter than car and may be vibrating
noisily intermittently
Local exhaust place who we have used for 30 years or so without complaint
