| Mondeo TDCi servicing | 26 Apr 2007 15:56 GMT | 4 |
I service my own car, a 2003 Mondeo TDCi. Do I have to tell the engine management unit that I have serviced it? If so, how is it done? If it's just a matter of pushing buttons and turning the ignition key, I'd really like to know. Or does it need a dealer with a laptop?

| Place bets! | 26 Apr 2007 14:56 GMT | 17 |
SOs 03 Polo refused to start this morning, engine cranks with occasional spluttering but it won't catch. Fuel pumps working, there's petrol at the injectors but I can't check the plugs as it looks like you need some kind of tool to get the caps off.

| Windscreen wiper - Astra | 26 Apr 2007 10:07 GMT | 1 |
The windscreen wiper on the driver's side of my Astra Club 1.6 is sweeping a smaller area as time goes by. It parks in the right place but the unswept bit is now restricting my view of the road in bad weather. Is there any adjustment for it? If not how do I cure it.

| Mondeo EGR valve question (long-ish!) | 25 Apr 2007 22:51 GMT | 4 |
After various local "experts" failing to diagnose the cause of my daughter's Mondeo "misfiring" i.e. running rough / hesitating / surging at low throttle openings, I posted here a little while ago on the subject. One of the suggestions as to possible cause (for which, thank ...

| Basic stainless exhaust.. | 25 Apr 2007 14:04 GMT | 14 |
I need a new exhaust soon, pretty much the whole system at once. Is there a way of buying and fitting a stainless system myself for about the same price as getting a 3 year life rustomatic system fitted by monkeys? The car in question is a 1996 Mondeo, so this will probably be it's ...

| Accessing EVAP canister in a Berretta | 24 Apr 2007 08:53 GMT | 1 |
I have a 96 Chevy Berretta (3.1L). The computer readout complains of an "incorrect purge flow". I hear the solution is to replace the filters and valve... however I can't get at the damn thing. Is there a correct, or at least easier way, of getting at it other than cutting ...

| Stripping a Kenlowe fan? | 24 Apr 2007 07:46 GMT | 12 |
The Rickman Ranger (MKII 1300 MkII Escort based jeep style kitcar) has been unused for a few months and as typical the engine starts first time but the Kenlowe fan doesn't. I think this would have been the second one in there, the first

When I bought my Mondeo, the front discs were warped, I replaced 'em and the pads with decent aftermarket stuff. 28k miles later, I decided to service the car, I thought I'd better replace the front pads too. after so long I was expecting them to be almost worn

| 1999 MK4 Ford Fiesta | 23 Apr 2007 18:29 GMT | 5 |
Hi! I have had to replace the passenger side wing mirror on my 99 Ford Fiesta. I have bought a brand new wing mirror and have tried to fit it myself. I have removed the inside cover and can see the four screws which secure the wing mirror to the door. However, I can't figure out
