My daughters car's blown its head gasket. garage have the head off,
reckon it's been like it a while judging from mayo instead of oil,
they sya it's a real mess, caused by overheating (small rad leak
found). Quote to fix is £640 but say they want to check for cracks and

Mummy dearest has just bought herself a new car. It's replacing a
Metro^H^H^H "Rover 100 Kensington" so it's definitely a step up, *whatever*
it is...
However, I can't decide whether it was a bargain or not...

I have a slight problem if anyone could help,  I have a rover 200 an
when I turn on the engine the brake lights come on and remain on unti
the engine is switched off, pressing the brake peddle makes n
difference. Everything else works (at the moment).

Got into work today. Reversing into place, I completely lost my footing
and instead of applying the brake pedal, I applied the accelerator.
I remember hammering what I thought was the brake, thinking why isn't
the car stopping. All manner of thought, logic, reason and control

I need some more engine oil for my 1994 Corolla GLI  1.3 .  In halfords
their list of the suitable oils for this particular car lists 10/40 semi
synthetic.  which they sell for £13 or so for 5 litres.   A few yards down
the road in Asda they do a home brand oil for about £8 and a ...
